5 moves

Receiving, putaway, transfer, picking and delivery treated as connected events.

Barcode-ready

Operations designed for scanning where warehouse work happens.

2 strategies

Reordering rules and MTO considered based on product behavior.

01

Context

A distributor operates across warehouse locations where stock accuracy depends on receipts, transfers, picking, packing and delivery updates being captured at the moment work happens.

02

Challenge

Warehouse movement is faster than back-office updates. Sales sees available stock that may already be reserved. Purchasing does not trust replenishment signals. Delivery status is visible only after someone updates a separate tracker.

03

Before Trineevo

Receipts, internal transfers and deliveries are recorded after the physical move. Some location information lives in memory or paper. Reporting is technically possible, but not timely enough to support daily decisions.

05

What Trineevo changed

Use Odoo Inventory and Barcode to bring receiving, transfer, picking and delivery actions closer to the warehouse floor. Define operation types, locations, replenishment rules and exception handling before go-live, so warehouse users are not forced into screens designed only for back-office staff.

06

Architecture

Odoo Inventory provides the stock record. Barcode operations reduce manual entry. Replenishment rules and make-to-order routes are selected by product behavior. Delivery and reporting are connected to validated stock movements rather than separate spreadsheets.

07

Implementation

The rollout starts with location structure, product barcode readiness and operation design. A controlled pilot validates receipt-to-delivery movement before expanding to all warehouses and delivery flows.
